Our bodies are incredible.
We know that before we ever grow and carry another life within ourselves. Our hearts beat without us telling them to; we change the way we breathe based on the exact concentration of oxygen and carbon dioxide in our blood, without even being consciously aware of it.
And then, as if it couldn't get more amazing than that, our bodies grow a whole, beautiful, completely unique new person, and an entire new organ with the sole purpose of helping that tiny new human grow.
Pregnancy can be a time of joy, wonder, and profound love, but it can also bring uncertainty, struggle, and pain. Every experience is valid, and your story deserves to be honoured.
It is a remarkable privilege to be a person's first home - truly one of the most miraculous things we can do in this life.
